Nobody knows exactly when Radio appeared. Grey found him one night — a small, flickering blob drifting through the studio, ears twitching at every frequency.

He's made of old signal and static. He remembers every song ever played on Memory Lane, though he can't quite say them back. Sometimes when a song starts he'll shiver, like he's heard it in a dream.

He doesn't eat normal food. He runs on attention, sound, and the occasional treat. He is the station's ghost, its mascot, its smallest employee. He does not get paid. He does not mind.

Ice has been in the studio since before anyone can remember. She appeared one night when the AC unit gave out and the booth hit 95 degrees — a single perfect cube left behind in a glass Grey forgot to clean. By morning, it was talking.

She is a sentient ice cube. She is a diva. She is the coldest thing in the station and she knows it. When the music plays, she doesn't melt — she glistens. Her opinions on the playlist are unsolicited, unfiltered, and usually correct.

Grey has attempted to remove her three times. Each time, she came back — slightly bigger, slightly more opinionated, with a new shade of lip gloss. She is not going anywhere. She is serving. She is eternal.

Bass is the only Bass Eater Demon who ever listened to DJ Asuka. Black, round, gelid, drawn to sub-bass like a moth to flame, he appeared one night behind the booth and never left. He has cat ears he refuses to explain.

She is the only one who can tame him. He answers to nobody else — not Patches, not Rattle, not Void, not even Grey. He'll let Grey scratch his ears if Asuka is in the room; alone, he glowers. He has, on at least three occasions, eaten a wobble bass drop whole.

When the school bell rings for an Apex track, he vibrates so hard the studio floor bounces. When DJ Asuka queues BASSGOD by Yellow Claw, he stands on the console. When she queues Bass Cannon by Flux Pavilion, he hides. Smart boy.

The only human food he reliably eats is instant ramen. The only person whose four-pack abs he uses as a pillow is DJ Asuka. He is, in the words of one close friend: "the most loyal blob in Bass City."
